In development — v0.0.1 preview. Expect rough edges; not for production use yet.
automater.house

The control plane for a home that runs itself.

Build groups, wire triggers, and set the rules that decide what your lights, switches, and sensors do. Your rules live on your own hardware — not in someone's cloud.

Up and running in a minute

  1. macOS: unzip, drag automater.house.app into Applications, then right-click → Open (it's an unsigned dev build).
  2. Linux: extract, run ./automater — or ./install.sh to start it on boot.
  3. It opens http://localhost:8800 in demo mode — explore groups, rules, and the live log with no hardware.
  4. Click Connect Hue bridge, press your bridge's link button, and your real lights appear. All on your LAN.

Visual map

Drag devices into a group and attach a rule set. See your home as a graph.

Real triggers

Motion, schedule, "state held for a while", and phone presence — with timers and conditions.

Live activity log

Every sensor event, rule evaluation, and device command, streaming in real time.

Your keys, your box

Device and platform credentials stay on your hardware. Nothing is sent to a cloud.
